Among the city's landmarks, special attention should be given to witnesses of ancient times: counterparts of England's Stonehenge (processed stone blocks), located in the village of Volkonka, appeared here more than 4,000 years ago. These stone complexes can be found in the vicinity of Sochi in many villages, with more than half of the stones adorned with drawings and hieroglyphs.

The ruins of medieval temples and churches also attract a lot of tourists, just like a number of museums of history, painting, and literature.

During the day, the squares, parks, and shady boulevards are empty, but in the evenings, tourists and city residents gather here. Many great writers and artists have vacationed in Sochi, and each of them has left their mark in the city's history.
