The main thing before buying a ticket
All foreign tourists, except for expressly stated exceptions, must obtain an ETA. The initial tourist permit is usually issued for 30 days; please retain a copy of the approval.
Passport and ticket details
The first and last name on the ticket must match the travel document. Check the validity period, available pages, and document type requirements for each passenger.
Transfers and transit
Check each transit country separately. If you change airports, have separate tickets, or claim your baggage, you may need to obtain permission to enter the transit country.
Children and special cases
Separate conditions apply for minors, travel for study, work, medical treatment, or long-term stays. Please check with your consulate before booking.
