A short visit to the petroglyphs and a trek across the pass are fundamentally different trips. The former is possible as part of a guided route through Urmaral. A high-altitude trek requires several days, stable weather, precise tracking, and experience in independent travel.

The Besh-Tash Nature Park profile mentions ancient Turkic rock art dating from the 6th to 8th centuries in the middle reaches of the Urmaral River and a birch grove at the mouth of the Chiyim-Tash River. These sites are associated with the long-term use of the mountain valleys and routes through the ridge.
The Chiyim-Tash Pass is located on the ridge of the Talas Ala-Too. The historical and cultural part of the route does not allow free intervention in the monument: the drawings are left untouched, and new finds are left in place.
