SOMON Air is the first private Tajik airline headquartered in Dushanbe that primarily operates international flights. The company's history begins in 2008, when SOMON Air's aircraft made its first flight on the Dushanbe-Moscow route. Furthermore, with great success, flights have been opened to Dubai, Krasnoyarsk, Frankfurt, Saint Petersburg, Istanbul, Orenburg, Yekaterinburg, Almaty, Urumqi, Krasnodar, Kazan, Sochi, Novosibirsk, and other cities in Russia, Europe, and Asia. Currently, SOMON Air is the only airline in Tajikistan that has joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Baggage allowance policies
The allowance for free baggage depends on the carrier and is set for each flight. On regular flights operated by Somon Air, it is usually 30 kg for business class and 20 kg for economy class. If your flight is operated by a partner airline, the allowance for free baggage may differ from Somon Air's. In this case, you can assume that it is two items with a combined weight of 30 kg for business class (with no individual item weighing more than 23 kg) or one item up to 20 kg for economy class.
An electronic airline ticket is essentially a regular plane ticket, but presented in a form less familiar to travelers. All flight information (passenger data, route) is stored in an electronic database, and the passenger receives an itinerary receipt. Some passengers who purchase their plane ticket online and receive an itinerary receipt may be surprised by its appearance - it is a regular A4 sheet that has been printed with all the details of the upcoming flight. When registering for a flight, the passenger must present the itinerary receipt along with his or her ID just as they would present a regular paper ticket. It's worth noting that an electronic ticket purchased online costs less than its paper equivalent.
